But I put about 30 gallons of diesel on the road between Dwight and home. There is fuel on everything. Down both sides of my truck, down the underside, all over the engine and transmission. Fuel everywhere... guess I’ll have to wash it tomorrow.
Just look at that as degreaser.
Dwight. That's where I saw the only Mustang GTA that I've ever seen in real life.
Random.. but wondering how much weight you guys would comfortably put in the bed for a couple hour trip? Looking at 1500-2000lb (45lb weight plates) and wondering how it'd handle that for a 3hr move.
I'd do it. Just don't try to NASCAR along any curvy roads. Take it easy and you'll be fine. OH wait. NASCAR only turns left. Just don't try to do any Indy car along curvy roads.

Thanks! Have our trucks ever even heard of Nascar or Indy? I've raced fully loaded dump trucks and school busses and they never even know it as they pull away..

It may have been the elbow hose at the turbo outlet, looks like it slid a half inch off. Shame there's no barb there to hold the boot on. Just slid it back on for now should be good. I'll find out tomorrow.
Pull the boot off, clean it really good and spray some hair spray on both pieces. After that's clamped down and dry you won't have to worry about it slipping off again. Have had to do that to several tuned 6.0 and 6.4's to keep them from blowing the boots off.

I'll give that a try!
I tightened them both up and didnt experience any boost leaks on the way home, so its definitely one of the two.

Just joined today but this was over weekend. Nearly lit the truck on fire (out of frustration) getting things to fit. Maybe I’ll let it burn one day soon :)

Realized might be easier to connect AFTER engine is in and not as one unit. Tcase constantly in the way too.

Got the Lseat leather seat upholstery installed today, little loose but I didn't use any added foam or decron. I'm still pretty happy with them! The color is navy blue which is a custom option.
370$ shipped from Texas, can't beat that!

Those bucket seats look nice, I prefer bench seats because I can wear my straw hat without hitting the seat back....Besides my sweetie can sit next to me as we drive to the
ranch or the range ( same place- different pasture).

Welcome to the Forum.
Lot easier to drop in Engine w/o Trans etc... hanging on
the end of it.
Is that a Power Stroke? Valve Covers look different.

Thanks they are pretty comfortable they are from a aeronose truck and the driver side is actually a factory powered seat! These are a bench as well, I've taken a nap on them on my lunch break and I've had 2 people up front with me one in middle getting in the way of the shifter and one in passenger seat

That's ok as long as she looks nice. I never minded that myself. :Thumbs Up
My lady did ask me why I didn’t put a bench back in my truck… she likes to sit close, but the 40/20/40 buckets I swapped in aren’t great for that. The 40/20/40s in my Dodge are much flatter, but she has told me she likes the 91 Ford better, seats are more comfortable unless you are trying to sit halfway in the middle and drivers seat… I have a habit of sitting closer to the door than the average driver… she usually makes me scoot over closer to the middle when she wants to sit with me though LOL

But, cupholders are all too nice, center console ain’t too bad to lean one’s arm on when driving without anyone else in the truck. Otherwise I’d probably just go with a floor mounted cupholder, if I didn’t like the console so much. I like my lady better than the console :rotflmao, but she doesn’t get to ride in my truck all that much.

I really like the 40/20/40's from the aeronose but yeah my partner liked the 50/50 bench with solid bottom out of a aeronose then these 40/20/40 (it's a high mileage truck on its 3rd set of seats lol).
I love how I can easily move my seat up closer to the pedals without having to move the whole bench up. which with the clutch I prefer sitting closer then a Auto.
I agree when Laying down or sitting on the gap it's not as comfortable but I find it pretty comfortable still and I still got that back seat that folds into a bed too.
I got me a few cassettes in the console and my work gloves in there too since my glovebox doesn't open....I really like the console. The factory cupholders suck, but complete performance has a good upgrade.

Jc customs also sells great cupholders for the floor That'll mount to 4x4 shifter or manual shifter...I had a set but decided to sell them awhile back.

I have a buddy that lives in Baker City, Or. I have known 53 years.
That is on the eastern edge or Oregon.
Met him 53 years ago when he was 14. Now owns 65 acres, cows, Horses, and is a general contractor, yard full of old trucks, etc...typical Farm set up.
Was up there last May for a wedding, and he has been on me since then to come up for a load of fire wood.

Week of Sep 9th worked on my 22ft car trailer building sides for it.
Had 8 2x6, some scrap 2x8 & 2x10. Picked up 3 10ft 2x4x10ft,
cut those in 1/2 for the pockets on the sides.
8 2x4x8ft for the ends and 4 2x4x14ft.
Several boxes of 1/4x 2 1/2" bolts and nylock nuts and fender washers.
So it`s 14ft long x 7ft wide x 4 1/2 ft high. Can haul a Bramma Bull in it.

9/09 we headed out of here for Baker City. Go east from Carson City on 50 to 95 then north to I-80 east at Fernley which is 35 miles east of Reno.
Coming in to Fernley, suddenly lost the Pwr steering making the turn at the light. OH Great!!!. get through town and survived the big Round D Bout and stop at Wally World and pop the hood.
Has fluid, belt is on, so something internal.
Is what it is and head out, like manual steering now.
Stop in Winnemucca for fuel and 95 north and into Oregon and
finally into Idaho and fuel up in Fruitland, Id, near Boise. Then 84 to Baker City.

Had a great week up there, took his 78 Chevy 3/4 ton up into the national forest and dropped 4 large dead trees, loaded the rounds, and split them when we got back with his new 37 ton splitter.

Replaced the Pwr Steering Pump, didnt realize how tired the old one was, new one can turn the wheel with my pinky. Its a rebuilt from O`Really`s.
Finally 9/16 Sunday we hit the road for home at 4am with our 3 cord of wood. Wanted to get going before traffic build up and not get run over by the semi`s grinding slowly up the grades with the old 6.9.
Make it to Fruitland, Id. and fuel up, then get on 95 south. Damn there are some looooong grades about 6%, 2nd gear doing 24 mph. Get to the summit and a short down grade before another loooong steep up grade and another one.
Finally get to Mcdermit and fuel up.
Few miles down the road felt a slight lurch and a power loss, and engine pulling a bit harder. truck passes tooting his horn and the flashing his tail lights. Wife looks in mirror and sparks at the rear of the trailer. Pull over, and the R/R tire blew out. all that is left is the steel belt wires and a mangled rim. Didn`t damage the fender, but one of the side lights is missing and ripped up wires.

Finally get to Winnemucca, Nv. for fuel and some coffee. By this time getting dark, flip on the lights and left head light is out. (low beam) We finally made it home w/o any further problems.
On one of the up hill grades, noticed the electric brake controller, the light was flashing on and off, what`s up with that? Figured out somehow the 4 way flashers were activating the damn brake thing and slightly applying the brakes. Wonder what started that?

Yesterday changed the Oil and Filter and replaced the head light.
Today turned the IP back one more flat. Been blowing smoke like Union Pacific Locomotive Big Boy.
Have turned her back 5 flats so far....on this new pump.
We will see how she runs, as in the morning we are off again for a trip to Colorado Springs, Co. Having a Ships reunion. (Navy).
Across Nevada, Utah, and to Cheyanne, Wy. and south towards Denver, Co.

Taking a spare Vac Pump, Lift Pump and Head Light.
