Swap 6.9 or 7.3 for a 460 in 75' F350 crewcab dually?

Would be a sweet truck with a diesel in it. I know we are in the 6.9/7.3 section but did you consider a 5.9 12 valve with a NV4500? Would get better MPG's but would cost alil more too.

If I was going through the trouble of a swap, I would certainly use a 5.9 cummins not a 6.9 or 7.3l. If you have cheap or free access to the 6.9 or 7.3l then go for that, but if you don't then use the cummins engine. Easier to make big power, after market is better served, and better fuel economy. Plus your truck will be worth a lot more with the cummins in it. Nice truck btw.
