Spoke with him, real nice fellow. Bought it from an ex Ford mechanic that worked at Glenwood Ford. That Ford mechanic did all the swapping, he would see it run around ans then bought it off the estate. Put new ZD-9’s from Napa in.

Dana 44 front. Dump bed works, boards were just rotten.

Big Ford man, he has lots of super cabs and crew cabs, has around 35 50’s - 80’s 4x4’s. He’s trying to thin the herd.

He has interest in my burb, so we are gonna send photos back and forth and see where it goes.
Get me a 61-63 short bed while you're there, thank you.

Does a NP-435 that was behind a 460 bolt to an IDI? It must
It'll bolt to the T19 bellhousing, and thus to an idi. I was looking into that because they are readily available, but there seems to be some thoughts about how diesels do something different than gassers and it negitively affecting the bearings in the NP tranny. I found nothing conclusive though.

Have both seen and heard of NP435 behind 4BTs in bread trucks, no idea if different internals like the gas vs diesel T19s

I would never put a Ford NP435 behind a IDI. That 6.68:1 first gear would be beyond worthless behind a diesel in a street driven application. Dodge and GM NP435's had a 4.56:1 first gear that is much more useable. I had one in a pickup behind a 351W and still never used 1st gear, always took off in 2nd. It might as well been a very heavy 3 spd.

Factory 7.3 IDIT swapped in!! Dump bed. Gonna see if he’ll trade!! I don’t need the plow.
Look at the rear floor, very common for supercabs to be very rusty back there. Also look at the drip rail area of the roof. Very common to rust through from the inside. Super cabs and crew cabs. Have yet to see it on a reg cab.

Engine pictures would be nice for sure, especially to see how the front crossmember was modified to clear the idi. Neat truck, but alot of money considering it is missing the 60. 435 will be fine with the idi, doing truck things.

@Black dawg thanks!! He wants to see some photos of my burb. When I deliver on those I will ask for more photos of his.

Although I’m not sold I’m going to trade. Will only do it straight across, not adding money on my end.

But my burb can haul my family comfortably at 80 mph and we have a trailer for hauling wood. So I may just scrap the idea and keep what I have.

I'm no expert on "posting links", but I saw this bricknose service truck on ebay while I was looking for something else. I can only figure out how to do screenshots and post them, but I can make old trucks and lawn mowers run.
