This winter I bought a 86 f350 6.9 with pretty narrow street tires. I bought the truck to pull a trailer hauling water. It does that fine even though I take unmaintained dirt roads.
While not hauling, more so leisure driving/exploring I keep finding myself sunk nose first in the mud until the pumpkin is on the ground. This truck is very hard to get out. Luckily my neighbor's have bulldozers and handy man jacks.
The high desert in southern Oregon is only wet in the spring after all the snow melts. After that it becomes bone dry all year.
Anywho, long story short, I'm brand spankin new to trucks and off roading. Where do I begin to look for tires? Locally? Online? What sizes should I look at? Brand names? Prices? Help! I know nothing!
