I think snicklas has one.
Personally, I wouldn't plug it in. That will show you more possible injector issues. (Stiction)

Yes, as Jasper
@79jasper said, I do have a 03 6.0 Excursion. We absolutely love it. I’ve had it going on 12 years. In comparison, it’s basically and F-250 crew cab, short bed. There are some differences from a 250, but not a lot.
Mine has been almost trouble free. I’ve had to replace a water pump, did an EGR Delete (highly recommended if you can, where you live), ICP sensor, had to have the FICM repaired (had a run of bad alternators, and batteries, which will kill a FICM quickly), alternators, batteries, replaced all consumables in the front axle, and the usual, tires, brakes, routine maintenance. I’m at almost 172,000 miles and have my first injector that needs replaced.
Looking at the list of maintenance records, it looks like quite a good buy. Maintenance on the 6.0 is critical, as you know, and the fact it’s been meticulously cared for, with Motorcraft parts, is a very good thing.
The room and towing capacity is very nice. Having legal seating for 7 (only 7 seatbelts 2,3,2, but I’ve had 9 in it, in a campground), and still having a large storage area behind the 3rd seat is wonderful. I have 5 kids, the last few trips out of town, we’ve taken the Infiniti, so 6 of us (the 7th one is now an OTR Driver, and not been with us). 2 adults and 4 teenagers, it’s very cramped. The Infiniti is a full size SUV. But there’s on 18ish inches behind the 3rd row, so 2 or 3 pieces of luggage, the cots and that space is full. So everything else has to be tucked in nooks and crannies, or things like blankets are in their laps, or stacked on the seat. Now, exact same trip, everything is in the back, and only what they want in the seat with them is in the seating area. There’s several feet behind the seat. The Excursion is the absolute best family vehicle out there. It will pull just about anything, and with the diesel, fuel economy isn’t bad. Around town I get 14ish, and I’ve seen 20 on a long trip.
If you get the Excursion and have any Excursion specific questions, please, just ask.
