No I was referring to the 6.6 ford diesel that was used I beleive in the F600 Just saw one and was wondering if you could to a swap I have a 1992 F350 with a &.3 Idi and the motor that I saw was a straight 6 diesel 1986 model with a turbo. If you mean a 6.9 liter diesel, yes it will. There is minor differences, but the general big stuff is the same.
Thanks I didn't think it would without major mods but wasn't sure.If that is not a typo, and you are referring to the Ford / New Holland 6.6L "Brazilian" inline 6, then the answer is a hard no. It may possibly physically fit in the engine bay, but everything will have to be modified or changed. Exhaust, fuel, transmission, engine mounts, radiator, etc.

I think after looking at the thread it's alittle more than my simple can handle.Looks like you wouldn't be the first. Link below is to a thread by someone dropping one into a '95 F350.

I was thinking that it was in the earlier 70's, but I might be wrong on that part. The 403 Olds firebird sounds like a 78/79+ thing to backfill as the pontiac motor was phased out.
