I'm hoping to enable the fuel pump relay automatically when the ignition switch is in "run" or "start" position.
Going through the ignition switch sequence it appears as though there is no dedicated circuit for only those two modes.
There are some dedicated Start circuits, and some that are Run and ACCY.
So it looks like if I want a hassle free key operated pump I'll need to install two relays, one for start, and one for run, because I don't want to land both circuits on the same terminal and cross feed all the other feeds?
It looks like the RD/GN off the GP relay lands on the IP fuel, and jumpers to the cold idle sensor, then becomes RD/WT for the IP advance and throttle solenoid.
I ran a jumper off the GP RD/GN to the IP, it started, then ran out of gas in "run".
So glad she has an electric pump, primed up in seconds and restarted.

What? The red/lightgreen is hot in start AND run. I run my electric fuel pump off the wire that goes to the brake warning switch sensor (vacuum sensor).

I do not know what year you have, this diagram is for a 86.

This diagram shows where the red/lightgreen comes from off the ignition switch. It's all the way on the left of the diagram.
