I have not checked my lift pump pressure, but ai changed the fuel filter again and filled it with Diesel Klean close to a 50/50. When I took the filter off it was pretty full.
What’s the pressure on the list pump suppose to be at? 5-7 psi?
Smoking from the back side of the engine when reved up, problem just arose now.
Noticed this, then changed the oil and now with fresh oil it’s smoking back here into the engine bay.
Pretty heavy smoke on exhaust when starting also.

Different problem now: Turned the key over and really rough start (hard to start) and super low RPM with tons of white smoke coming from exhaust. I’ll see if I can upload a video, pulled phone out as soon as something wasn’t working right.

the PO left a new lifter pump still in the box he didn’t have the time to change it before he sold it to me, wouldn’t hurt to change it out? Not sure if the lifter pump could be suspect.
Let it sit overnight with ATF in fuel pump (turned on so it could reach IP), also put cleaner in the fuel tank. Drove it around a little and still happened a couple of times, got fuel and nothing really changed. For some reason my fuel gauge doesn’t work on a full tank either?

Ok I will try that, I do notice it gets a little better when she’s warm but hard to tell. I will give that a try.
Anywhere online that sells new governors? Curious on the price and can’t find them anywhere.

How many gallons of fuel with a cleaner should I run before it may be a replacement, I’d hate to run like 40 gallons and she’s still stuck lol

Does not happen all the time but sometimes mainly at lower speeds when shifting gears up or down, clutch is in, no gas & in neutral going to another gear the truck will shut down and need clutch dropped to bump it back to life, or if to slow shut...
