What is all this crud? This is a new out of packaging left tie rod from Bronco Graveyard. This boot looks plastic and there’s all this cracked red waxy stuff everywhere. Can I use this part?

I've had a couple problems with orders from BroncoGraveyard but it was easy to sort them out.

Quick background is I ordered and received these parts back in March. Checked the order contained the correct parts when they arrived but didn’t look in extreme detail.
Wasn’t able to R and R until this past week but needed to get it done.
Ended up getting replacements from Oreilly over the weekend and installed and was able to get an alignment today.

The truck is really smooth now and tracks straight with the steering wheel at center - super nice. Still like driving a boat but a more even keeled boat.

Talked to Bronco Graveyard on the phone today and they mentioned given me a refund. I told them the order was past 90 day mark and they didn’t say much. Emailed in pictures of the tie rods per phone call suggestion and haven’t heard anything back yet.

Am driving about 500 miles a week these days for work and often have the bed loaded with couple thousand pounds. First priority is need things to be reliable and safe. Hopefully can get a refund though, would be happy with an exchange as well

Took a couple phone calls and e-mails but I’m expecting a refund for two defective (the corroded part shown and another tie rod was missing the boot, nut, and cotter pin) parts from BGY.

Basically the best outcome given the circumstances, BGY has lots of hard to find stuff so would like to maintain a good relationship.
