@Cubey I was thinking the same thing but MAN they want a pretty penny for those pumps now. Cheapest one is 150$ plus tax same with Autozone.
I paid $120ish in 2017, but I got it the next day. And I got a free replacement twice for $0, so far. Saved a good $300+tax because it was $150 by the time I had to warranty it, twice in a short amount of time. The second replacement has been good for over a year, so far.
Being able to make a phone call and have it available in 24-48 hours at the nearest store is extremely handy. Keep a cheap spare pump and pulley puller in the truck in case you need it. It's very easy to swap out in a parking lot with just a few tools.
If you're planning to keep an IDI around, it's worth it. I have just swapped over the pump every time I got a different IDI.
Technically that voids the warranty, moving the part into another vehicle other than the original you put it in, but I haven't had a problem getting it replaced.
It's been at different stores in different states from where the original was. Main thing, if it's been 5 years since you bought it like in my case, they'll question you hard about when you bought it and where, because they're kind of reluctant. If you're able to recite the date and location from the receipt, they'll be fine with replacing it, even if you're just calling and asking them to order it for you.
The thermal paper receipt will fade over time so take a photo of it/make a xerox copy. I found the receipt very faded but just barely readable, so I wrote down the barcode of the transaction, date/time/location on the receipt in the white margins between the faded text. But they always went by the purchase record in the system under my phone number.
