Its in a meduim duty IH! 1986 CO1650B. Had been sitting for 6 years but I changed the oil, filters, and put some fresh fuel in it and drove it 68 miles home without a problem...in fact, I even towed with it. The Farmall M and John deere disk set was too heavy for my GMC 1 ton so we hooked the trailer up to the new IH and drove it home that way. Didnt even know I was towing anything.

Anyway, hope you all like it. I sure do. ;Sweet

I cleaned some of the tag off, but cant make it all out. The Tag says IHC and 300, but I will find out more. Its big, like a clark 5 speed which is what I thought it was at first. And if it does have a 5th gear...I couldnt find it in my 80 mile drive home. I did find out that the 4 speed is standard, so Im pretty sure its the 4 speed. made by IHC. Its big and burly. Has PTO provision and has cool looking cooling fins casted into the bottom half. The top is aluminuim.

I didnt get picture of the 6.9, but will shortly...maybe when I get home tonight. It runs well. Has good power which surprised me because we hit some good hills coming home and pulling that Farmall M and disks didnt hold me back one bit. Its low geared. 70 mph is tops...or at least its as fast as I felt comfortable doing.

Its titled as an 86, and is definiatly a 6,9, but it has the 7.3 style glow plugs, relay and return fittings and lines...or at least the late model versions.

Here's a quick pic of the transmission I have.

Great find! I would love to get one like that myself. How much did it cost you?
And Bill, I also noted the tractor (another one that loves old tractors) but I don't like to work with this kind because of the tendency to roll over.
