WMO/WVO transfer pump

I need a pump to send the waste oil threw my filter setup. I remember seeing something on using a chevy oil pump but i cant find the write up on how to make it work. dose anyone know where this write up is? I have an electric motor i can use just need to know how to build the pump.

or if anyone knows where i can get a pump that is reliable that has worked for them for a good amount of time i could use some suggestions.

I have an old pump that I salvaged - it's a tohkeim vane pump run by a 1hp 110v motor.
I don't have it hooked up to a dual filter set up yet, so I'm not sure how much that will slow it down.

At the moment I have the output of the marine water separator / fuel filter in a 3/8" size and 20ft long... that's slowing it down to a gallon a minute or so - I think if I stayed with 1/2" diameter plumbing (same size as pump inlet / outlet) throughput would be better.
