Best place to mount electric lift pump?

Im working on an 84 Jimmy with a good running 6.2l Im needing/wanting to install and electric lift pump. It will be either a Duralift or a Gold-Flo. Where would be the best place to mount it? Im not a GM guy and usually mount Duralifts in the engine compartment in Ford idi's. I will likely use the Gold-Flo pump in the Jimmy, as I have another use for the Duralift in the near future. Should I mount it in the engine compartment somewhere or on the frame rail??

From my quick reading, sounds like those may like to be closer to the tank.
But it did say 12-24 inch dry lift. So looks like it can pull fuel fine.
I ran the cheap Mr gasket on mine. Not even the diesel one.
