Transmission issues- rumble strip & hunting OD

If you want rid of the driveline brake, I would happily take it off your hands

Transmission issues- rumble strip & hunting OD

The F-Super Duty driveshaft is much larger… and uses a bolt on flange on the brake… those trucks are much different, especially in that department…

Transmission issues- rumble strip & hunting OD

In both conversions, there are adapters that allow you to bolt the driveline brake onto the back of the transfer case, that is how I would want to do it in a homemade conversion

Transmission issues- rumble strip & hunting OD

Conversions only, either Quigley or Marmon Harrington. Both are extremely rare and difficult to get parts for. Homemade conversions have been done as well

Truck's stumbling on cold start, thinking it might be a fuel pump issue.

Make sure that you get the arm under the cam lobe… It uses engine oil for lubrication. It is a diaphragm style pump, so if it self-destructs with nothing hooked to it, it would probably only result in a small oil leak. Your best bet is to use a block off plate if you go with an e pump. For...

Truck's stumbling on cold start, thinking it might be a fuel pump issue.

Unless you use a series of check valves, which other members can elaborate on, it is typically not recommended to run both a mechanical and electric fuel pump

Truck's stumbling on cold start, thinking it might be a fuel pump issue.

I think it’s a fueling issue, but I don’t really know. You would have to do some digging to find out. I would recommend replacing the mechanical pump for now, they are inexpensive, and if that fixes your problem, then I would recommend getting a Walbro FRB-13. I am yet to see a reported issue...

    Someone go get it!!!

Looks like that one has the standard spring package… don’t sit up near as high, 2 or 3 leafs in front, and 8 in the back, per side. That’s PLENTY Mine has the heavy spring package, 6 per side in front, and 20 per side in back. Ouch…

    Someone go get it!!!

No!!! Don’t! Don’t show me more F-Super Dutys! I love mine so much that I would buy another… whoda thunk it… they can handle interstate speeds alright, wrapped out at 84 with 5.13 gears. But I guess that’s fast enough…

    Fresh build, smoke, stumped

If you have a good spare IP, 3-4 flats up from stock, see if that works, idk. It is apparent that the injectors were part of the problem, and if the IP is the rest of it, I’d be getting on Justin’s case a little bit… he has too good of a reputation to make dud products… but I would expect him...

Definitely fuel knock. @Kdo58 might be on to something with using your stock injectors. Justin will take care of you, if it is injectors, tell him. He’ll fix you up.

    Ac newb questions

Not helpful input necessarily, but I myself don’t mess with A/C systems, there is a shop in my town that does very good work, especially with A/C… if they can do it just as good or better, on something that I don’t want to do, like A/C or Dodge dash stuff, it goes to them.

Fwiw fuel pressure doesn’t necessarily mean that you are getting adequate flow… I have torn into one of these motors further than this, biggest difference being the fact that I am running an electric pump. I went with Holley, probably should have gone with Walbro… I never did have this problem...

    Go to reman injection pump

I got one in October if last year for my 86 with turbo 7.3. It ran a bit funny at first, but after a couple thousand miles, I guess it ‘broke in’ and now it’s great!
