Isuzu inline mechanical ran away but shut off after 2 minutes. Rack is stuck. Why would it shut off? Engine didnt seize. Just wondering why it would shut off on its own
fit on a d60? im planning to convert my f550 to 4x4. i got a d60 axle. thought everything was the same except for brakes but i was not correct. the mounts for the f550 caliper bracket bolts are shorter hole to hole.
so im asking if anyone knows if the 2wd outer knuckle will work on 4x4 d60...
no. it doesnt stall out. has miss and shake.did a Cylinder contribution test showed misfire so i popped the rocker cover off but injector was spraying oil out spout. i let it run for 5 minutes and nothing coming out of oil spout. i expected poppet to be worn but its not .003".
my injectors stops working when engine warms up. i got rocker cover off when started cold oil is pumping out spout but after few minutes nothing. i checked the armature clearance and its .003". anyone know what up?? is it o rings or something more??
towcat did you just pick that one up? is that oem us gear adapter plate / clocking ring or is that the one you had made? or is that the plate you used to reverse engineer the clock ring?
yes lookks like adapter for the input flange. never knew c6 makes 10 spline. turns out in the 70s the c6 came with them. also forklifts use the c6 with 10 spline and heavy duty apps. well ill never find the kit for zf or 4r100. im having little bit of trouble getting drum off to see what...
well i was playing around with it today and doesnt look like its good for anything but a c6 unless maybe i install it backwards then it woukd be an overdrive but not sure if thats possible. input shaft on the dual gear has big 10 spline female shaft. the output shaft of c6 goes into female stub...
i hear ya. doesn't seem like a difficult thing to make though or draw up if its just a normal transfer case bolt pattern out of phase. set beam compass, protractor, and good vernier caliper.
But i know if you pay an engineer to design something ,you're supposed get the blueprint or cad!!
If you already have a CAD drawing theres that emachine shop that might be able to do it. do you have a CAD blueprint???;) I called up the place and asked about the no dowel pin .he said to just knock itout or in. I guess its hub center mounted no need for it.
hey towcat looks similar to yours.

this one doesnt look like yours but may work

anyone know how to calculate the under drive ration with a .71 overdrive on a 4r100? my daily is running 3.73 in the back. i got some 19.5 wheels for it maybe i can use it on that when im pulling my gooseneck?? Can i used it on the overdrive without burning the transmission up??
so what is it to help motor home climb hills?? c6 has no overdrive. Maybe if it has low gear like 3.23 or something?? If its higher gears like 4.88
What axle gear do mobiles come with??? I guess the 2 studs on cover are grounds for the lights???
then it could only be used for climbing hills...
that's a nice adapter. ehhh que.... quantas es?? well i worked on it today. it's a underdrive .why would someone want an underdrive?? maybe a dump truck or someone pulling heavy loads with trailer??? underdrive isnt going to save fuel??
WELL I got the harness with a black box but the switch...
I dont want to attach it to a transfer case. I have a OBS superduty with zf5. 5.13 rear axle. It screaming if i do over 55. Im was hoping it would bolt up to back of 4x4 transmission. C6 and zf5 have same output shaft spline count.that would be perfect because it has drum brake on USG unit.i can...
Hey Towcat i just read
" The 4wd config mounts between the trans & t-case. The front flange on these units is essentially the same size as the standard Ford transfer case, but it is clocked ~30* and you cannot directly bolt one up to a 4wd trans due not only to the clocking, but also shaft...
