I've noticed that the majority of older 6.2Ls left date from the '82 model year, is there something special about these first year engines?
The older (82-84) engines also seem to get better fuel economy without a hit in power compared to the newer units. Different head/precombustion chamber design maybe?
It's been said the red blocks have a higher nickel content, can anyone shed some light on the differences?
Thank you much,
