If you use a constant use relay line cubey suggested, as long as its rated for the amperage of your desired use for key on devices, itlll be fine. Won't be hard to get, most are rated at 200 amps. I don't think you'll use that much.
If its any help with your debate, I used a regular single disk tq converter in my in laws pickup when I built it for them. They use it to haul an in bed camper around that weighs about 3400 lbs full and it does just fine. I told them to just turn off thr O/D when doing big hills. Their engine is...
Orange rtv alert!!!!!
Actually that shouldn't be a problem, thats just the mating surface between the t case and the transmission itself. Makes it a butt to get apart, but also prevents them from loosening up.
The green on the t case output housing makes me think it was a wrecking yard part at...
Info about it is here

I had to squish it pretty considerably to get it to clear the bell of the transmission, plus slice a side of it and angle the flange a little more to mate to the turbo. Frankly I feel like it wasn't...
You can desolder the eeprom chip that stores the mileage and tire size and move it over. That is also what I did.
You could just reporogram the tire size and send it too, both are good options.
Jack up the front end so the wheel is off the ground.
Grab it at the top and bottom and try to rock the tire. Should be practically no movement at the hub.
Rotate the wheel, should be smooth with no abnormal binding. If there is, remove caliper and try again to verify its not the brake hanging...
My finger slipped... Its on order... Oops LOL
@ISPKI
I have the 6.4 viscous fan clutch with the fancy plastic fan that Ron Loder sells, it definitely helps.
@jwsfarrier yes I am still using the glowshifts.
@Kdo58 where can I source a good down pipe? The one that came with my turbo kit I got from CDD didnt fit between my firewall and transmission, I had to manipulate it with a bench vice to make it fit, so it probably needs replaced.
I see R&D...
I had went to the wrecking yard and picked up a few, they were something like $20 each. I gutted the cluster just for the psom so I didnt have to buy a whole cluster.
@Lumberjackchuck where did you get your pipes? I thought about getting something bigger but don't want to break the bank. Technically I'm out of funds for the truck project, I had only saved up enough for the pump, injectors, intercooler and head work.
I did some experimenting on my way home.
Every day I drive up a hill that has about a 6.5 average gradient for almost 3 miles.
In 4th I averaged 700f at 55mph, in 5th same speed it jumped up to 950f.
Guess I get to learn how to drive my truck again.
Good to know.
I'll be dailying my truck for a while to make sure its good to go for camping season, I'll just have to shift differently.
Thanks for the feedback everyone
I just make sure it goes through all the gears while spinning the input shaft by hand.
Transmission in my crew cab is out of a '88f350 with unknown history to me. Put several thousand miles on it with no issue. Just changed the fluid.
Doing some google fu, I wonder if I just need to change my driving style. Reading where some guys drop it out of 5th to keep rpms up around 2800 and that lowers egts but maintains speeds.
Hmm...
