I like these clamps because they do their job equal and you can tighten them more.
Extra nut may not be necessary. But since the bolt is long enough...
My idea is to rescue the broken IDI engine.
I have no intention to go with HEUI.
I want to stay mechanical.
My problem is just, that it is not easy to find the replacement for the broken parts. Not here in Europe and not in the USA.
Furthermore, I don't want to drive with Diesel only.
This...
I don't want to share how much I already payed for the F.O.R.D. since it is in my ownership.
In the US you would probably say that I am crazy, paying these European prices.
Thanks for the link!
That's the idea. I'm missing the crankshaft, some rods and pistons.
I was hoping to get away...
Ok. But there is a PS7.3 2 IDI available:
https://www.gohypermax.com/ProductDisplay.aspx?id=ac1c22c9-c515-4b4a-82cc-8df2dccc5adb
But this is basically a "totally new engine".
And looking at / concidering all the effort they have put in, the price is ok. I don't believe, they get rich on this...
I am running an '94 Eco IDI w/o turbo.
My first IDI broke down some year ago and I still have this motor sitting here.
The engine had a problem with the oil pump and it ran dry.
Crank shaft, some rods and pistons changed color.
Problem here in Europe is the limited availability of spares for...
I saw this starter with our Forum-Supporter Classic Diesel Design too:
https://classicdieseldesigns.com/products/pwm-3-6hp-6-9-7-3-upgraded-starter
For the moment I purchased a new Mitsubishi from BBB Industries N17037
and the ATP Z344 flexplate.
I expect it during next week to arrive.
Yes, you have to have an eye on the algae.
And it gets worse:
- the larger the tank is
- the less you're driving
- the longer the diesel sits in the tank
Just a tiny drop of water can cause the algae to appear.
The only solution to prevent getting it, is next to the doing opposite of upper...
:sorry:
Yes.
In German "Schwungrad" means flywheel. So I just translated it 1:1 :)
After a friend explained me last week why it is not just a flywheel I understood why the term flexwheel is used and also the functionality and why it is subject to wear.
So what I need in propper Engish is...
Thanks for your "output".
Meanwhile I was doing some digging.
Looks like I am going to order/mount BBB INDUSTRIES N17037 again. It fitted best in and they were the most durable.
The PowerMaster 9050 looks fantastic - but I couldn't find it with Rockauto. (read bottom of this post to see why...
Yes, this is a subject.
But I have heard about it in conjunction with WVO - not WMO.
Polymerisation can happen after WVO is mixed with the engine oil and when there is dirt in the engine oil.
To prevent this, it is recommended to double the oil change intervall. Means replacing the oil and...
My Eco is in the need of a new starter motor and flywheel.
Which Starter Motor should be chosen?
BBB INDUSTRIES N16658
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1296118&cc=1117886&pt=4152
or
BBB INDUSTRIES N17037
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1296074&cc=1117886&pt=4152
or what...
Seems that:
- the viscosity is to high.
This is a way to start first:
You could also purchase some inline heater:
I use this one
https://www.monopoel.de/catalog/warmetauscher-inkl-adapterhulse-dichtung-p-958.html
and this one...
I probably should have written:
Rockauto "out of business" with the oilburners.net community?
I am looking for something like this:
https://www.oilburners.net/threads/rockauto-com-discount-code-expires-october-7-2022.91533/
And valid for this winter.
And when I see this...
You really have a lot of time. And it looks great!
I believe that it would be more practical - during ownership/running it - to have the motor next to the bowl. A chain, gear (both probably noisy) or belt drive would do the trick.
Problem is the leaking and maintenance a "motor under the bowl"...
Hard time or trouble to open the lid.
Even I use it since some time ;) I still haven't found the "easy way" or "fast way" to open it for cleaning.
I don't want to use any sharp or cornered tool because I don't want to cause any scratches.
I just browsed below:
https://www.oilburners.net/categories/oilburners-net-supporting-vendors.142/
to search for the latest Rockauto discount code and - for whatever reason - I can't find them anymore.
What has happened?
Thanks for your explanation.
Sometimes I run into trouble opening the "cover" of my bowl.
Maybe I am just too careful or inexperienced because the bowl can load so much, that I simply don't need to clean it so often...
Great!
What is a fixed C-Shape design?
Nice to read that others share similar PA Biodiesel experiences.
In today`s world - it is not usual anymore to have such fast response.
I contacted PA Biodiesel Supply directly regarding upper questions.
And, Surprise - Surprise, the response time was incredible fast.
Not only that I know now what I need, but they also shared "how to do it".
Both saves time and effort.
Great - outstanding - support!
BTW: PA also added the Gs...
I have.
I am using a PA Biodiesel Supply UFC next to a pump driven "inverter" centrifuge.
Setup:
Both devices are feeded with the same transferpump from the same barrel parallel to each other.
Tech:
The "Upside Down Centrifuge" is said to be the better pump driven centrifuge.
The...
I am running a Ultimate Force Oil Centrifuge and the ball bearing(s) of the motor are showing signs of wear.
Did anyone replace the bearings on this motor?
Which ball bearings (model type) are mounted?
What is Motor Shaft Seal type?
How to remove the "bowl cone" from the motor axle?
Thanks!
Yes, the size is restricted.
I'll take pictures once I received them.
And yes, First I'll install them in my van - to hopefully experience changes in the performance - before I would considering shipping them to any other 7.3idi driver.
Thanks!
Why do we need to find this info on a different website and with another company?
I would expect, that the manufacturer is keeping his data updated for his products.
dennysdriveshaft.com says that it is "Exploded View Diagram Number 32"
In our X510-9 pdf it is number 34.
Does anyone...
