you can source oem quality parts on the internet if you know what to look for. If that wire or signal isn't constant, it wouldn't stay locked at higher speeds. Did you try manually shifting through the gears? Sounds like something is wrong with...- greenskeeper

post a video of the problem LPOP feeds the HPOP which supplies the injectors, I doubt it's that. is the truck an automatic? What happens when you manually shift gears as you accelerate? Will it hold each gear?- greenskeeper

Code P1298 help
Did you clear the codes after installing the new parts? The IDM code is probably from the burnt harness and ROM error is common and means nothing. Best mod I did for both my trucks was to put the GPR ground from the PCM on a switch with an LED light, that way I can see when the PCM is...- greenskeeper

97 F250 7.3 Fuel delivery air??
A faulty regulator won't build the proper psi as it would just dump fuel back to the tank, and a clogged screen will restrict flow. Both are located on the side of the fuel bowl.- greenskeeper

schrader valve is easily accessible, idle fuel pressure should be around 65psi. Has the regulator ever been rebuilt? What about the screen.. has it been cleaned?- greenskeeper
